Statutes of the Stiftung Weltweite Wissenschaft

The Stiftung Weltweite Wissenschaft was established with the opening of the University Guest House in 1963.
You can download the text of the current foundation statutes here.

Metamorphoses of a hostel

In the meantime, 10 years have passed and the 50th anniversary will be celebrated in 2013. The story continues to be told. The changes of the last ten years, such as renovations, refurbishments and new furniture, have been documented; interviews have been conducted and many photographs have been taken. The Swiss journalist Regula Zehnder, who has also been a guest at the university’s guest house, wrote the new “Metamorphoses of a Hostel”. We are proud to present the freshly printed edition.

The history of the University of Hamburg’s guest house.
To mark the 40th anniversary of the Guest House, the Stiftung Weltweite Wissenschaft published “Metamorphoses of a Hostel”.
Guests, event organizers, sponsors and all those who support the guest house will find information on the prehistory, the founding phase, the International Meeting Centre (IBZ) and the many developments that this house has undergone.
